The Client’s Objective
We were retained by a receiver/attorney for a propane pipeline terminal business sale in the Midwest to settle an estate.
Special Circumstances
There was quite a bit of friction and a general uncooperative atmosphere between the shareholders, so the receiver requested that we not contact the principals directly. Also, the terminal itself was in need of substantial repairs.
The Process
We worked with the receiver to gather all of the information to prepare marketing materials and to develop a marketing plan. We contacted a number of national and international pipeline companies to solicit interest in the terminal.
The Outcome
We received a number of offers from well-qualified buyers and were able to complete the transaction, allowing the receiver to settle the estate and help mitigate the shareholder dispute.
